I went with Phil on Saturday to Cambridge Central Library to hear Sarah Hagger-Holt talk about her novel The Fights That Make Us, which is aimed at young LGBTQ+ people, but should appeal to a wider readership. Sarah is an experienced and engaging speaker and ‘sold’ her novel well. So we bought a copy! I mean, how could we resist a book with a blurb that begins, Maybe there was a place in history for people like me, not on the edges of the story but right in the centre.
